Specific Contour Cropping possible?

Feb 26, 2013 10:41 AM

The most important cropping feature of any program is to crop out any image of any contour or shape. Can this program do this? Can it crop out, say a photo of a tree around all its branches?

No. The crop tool is manual and is designed for improving composition.

    semann,

Welcome to the forum. The term "cropping" has a somewhat different connotation as it is applied in this program.

You can use one of a number of selection tools, or a mask, to isolote an object from it surroundings.

Yes, it is possible to target a tree with its arborization , copy/paste it, change brightness/contrast, etc.

If we are talking selections then PSE11 has the refine edge tool which is specifically designed to deal with complex selections such as human and animal hair and tree branches.
