Since the custom check-in UI isn't displayed when checking in multiple files or when using Bridge's Add Files... feature, we would like to use XMP data as a source for upload options on initial check in. However, when checking in a new file, CheckInRequest.Item.getXMP() returns null.
Should getXMP() return data when checking in a new file? If so, why might it return null? I'm testing with JPEG and PSD files that have XMP data embedded in them.
Thanks,
Dan
For the local files to be added onto server, Adobe Drive extension in Bridge doesn't extract xmp data embedded in them when checking-in them, the DAM server should take the responsiblity to extract xmp data from them after the files checked-in and return them to Adobe Drive through connector.
