Adobe leaves me hanging

I am still using Photshop CS3.  I haven't found the need to upgrade since it works fine for my needs.  However, it no longer works.  This is the message I get:  "Licensing for this product has stopped working"  unistall and reinstall product, contact Adobe customer support for help.


Problem is, customer support doesn't exist when your product is this old, so I am stuck.  I have the CS2 disk and did an online upgrade to CS3, all of which appear in my Adobe account.


I'm not sure how to unistall CS3 and then if I reinstall CS2 will it even work on my OS 10.7.5 system, and if it does how to I upgrade back to CS3?
