Also, is there a way to upgrade the raw plugin folder to be able to read the current raw formats?

Did if ever work since putting cs2 on windows vista?

Does the pdf presentation work if you invoke the command in photoshop proper instead of bridge?

File>Automate>PDF Presentation.

I really don't think using the adobe cs2 download will make any difference as either your bridge and/or photoshop preferences could be corrupted

and you should try resetting those as they are not reset during a unistall/reinstall of cs2.

Reset bridge preferences:

Reset Bridge by holding Option(Mac) or Ctrl (Pc) as soon as you click on the icon to start it.

ADD - If done properly you will get a reset window with 3 options.

CS2/Bridge has made pdfs for many years on this vista cpu. I do not know what made it stop working.

Holding Ctrl+Alt+Shift sfter starting bridge will let you reset the 3 options, however it still will not make a pdf. Bridge only opens Photoshop when PDF Presentation is pressed.

You can make a pdf from Photoshop, however you can not re-arrange the order of the files. Still looking for a way to make pdfs' from bridge again.

I have not tried the DNG converter yet, however I plan to as soon as the pdf problem is solved.

See if right clicking on the photoshop cs2 shortcut and choosing Run as Adminstrator, starting bridge from within photoshop cs2

(Go to Bridge icon in the tool options bar in photoshop cs2)

and then invoking pdf presentation from within bridge makes a difference.
