We were promised that Aprimo played nicely with Creative Suite, although now that we're getting our hands dirty, we're finding this is not the case, and our Aprimo contacts haven't been much help. Has anyone out there found a way to make this work? Thank you for any notes & recommendations!
We're on CS6. Right now, there is no direct integration between Aprimo and InDesign - so that is the fundamental problem. I was hoping to find users that may found a 3P program to "go-between" the two. XMPie was mentioned in passing, but I havent' been able to speak to anyone that has used that as a solution.
Has anyone out there found a way to make this work?
To get help here, you'd have to state specifically an expected result vs. the actual result. Then someone would tell you which one is at the root of that specific problem.
Aprimo.com spews volumes of "solution" theory to fire up the planners without saying anything about what's supposed to take place at the levels where the doers do what the planners planned. One clue I noticed was that some of their workflow metaphores include references to PDF. I'm inclined to suspect that's the key window of integration. You know, the one somebody else already invented.
Aprimo’s Marketing Resource Management (MRM) solution has Brand Asset Management functionality.
A full enterprise digital asset management solution like North Plains TeleScope can understand creative tool work flow, allowing users to work with complex, multi-asset documents such as InDesign without needing to manage each asset individually.
A solution involving a strong Aprimo-TeleScope integration off ers companies the best of both worlds. It would impart great value to all who need Enterprise Digital Asset Management and also want to manage their campaigns and marketing processes more eff ectively.
We at Capgemini have a Center of Excellence for Integrated Marketing Management where in we have expertise in building Aprimo's MRM as well as North Plains TeleScope solutions. We have been collaborating with Aprimo as well as North Plains for varions engagements to work as a Consultant / System Integrator for our customers across geographies - especially North America.
We can provide the above mentioned solution if needed.
Could you give us a bit more information about what is meant by integration or working well together? There have been projects we have worked on where we integrated InDesign with Aprimo and it worked successfully.
Thanks for the responses! I was pulled away for a few days and just getting back...
Example: We are testing with a simple postcard design, that has a variety of custom fields being pulled in (based on a pretty complex set of segmentation criteria). As the designer, I designed the piece in InDesign. However, Aprimo is requiring that I create HTML for the postcard (html for a printed piece??). This just does not make sense... nor does it work when I humor them and provide the html + images.
NavShriv: I would be interested in learning more about your company, and if it could help with our situation!
Anejako1: I'm also very interested to see if your experience would help my situation above.
Thanks for the further information. Most of our experience is with Aprimo, with a secondary focus on integrations in general. If you want to see more about what our firm's capabilities are, please visit www.marketspheremarketing.com.
If you wish to discuss further, please drop me a line at email@example.com.
Anejako1: thanks - I am going to pass along your site to my business partners.
NavShriv: thanks for your response! We are not wanting to convert our InDesign into html, as we've run into several errors doing so. If your company has successfully bypassed this, I would be interested in learning more!
