Does anyone else find it quite tricky to see where spelling mistakes/queries actually are on the page when you run run Edit > Spelling > Check Spelling ?
I would find it a lot easier to use if it had an option where it pointed at the word in question, or highlighted it in bright yellow or something. I'm working through quite a busy/complex set of pages at the moment and sometimes I just can't see where the queried words are.
Or is it just me? :-)
It's not just you, but as SRiegel recommends, I find it helpful to zoom in on the first paragraph of my document before launching spell check. As suspect words are found, they will come into view at that same zoom level, although you may still have to move the dialog box out of the way to see one or the other, depending on what part of the spread is targeted.
Yes, thanks for responses. That does help but if changing a word affects line breaks it can sometimes go unnoticed lower down a column if you're zoomed in too close I've found. Even then I had a spelling error in a sideways picture caption today and for the life of me I couldn't spot it, this was a tiny detail on an A1 poster so about worst case I guess.
A refined spell check highlighter would be much appreciated in CS7 ![]()
Hello,
There is a plugin that makes the highlight bigger when dynamic spelling is on.
