When inserting an image in Dreamweaver CS6 I am not getting the browse for an image it is going stright to the accessibility dialogue box and then inserting an image placeholder.
Does anyone know how to make this work as it should?
That can be turned off by going to
Edit > Preferences > Accessibility > Uncheck Images Checkbox
Do make sure to add in the alt text for your images though, it's the only thing blind visitors get when they come to your site using a screen reader.
Sorry that's not the issue, the issue is I'm not getting the option to select an image before this dialoguge box appears - Dreamweaver goes straight to Accessibility and then inserts an image placeholder because i have not had the option to select an image.
Ah, I see what you're saying now.
Have you tried clearing the DW Cache File yet?
Whenever I run into odd behaviors like this, it's the first thing (and usually last thing) I do to fix it, especially when it's an issue that "just started happening" suddently...
OK. Install the latest updates. 12.3 is the latest.
I have now fixed it, I un-installed Dreamweaver - deleted every reference to dreamweaver from the local drive - deleted every reference to dreamweaver from the registry - re-installed and now it's working.
