Dreamweaver inserting image problem

When inserting an image in Dreamweaver CS6 I am not getting the browse for an image it is going stright to the accessibility dialogue box and then inserting an image placeholder.

 

Does anyone know how to make this work as it should?

    Could you tell us the process that you are using to insert an image? If you could provide us with a screenshot of what you are seeing, that would be doubly helpful.

    That can be turned off by going to

     

    Edit > Preferences > Accessibility > Uncheck Images Checkbox

     

    Do make sure to add in the alt text for your images though, it's the only thing blind visitors get when they come to your site using a screen reader.

    Ah, I see what you're saying now.

     

    Have you tried clearing the DW Cache File yet?

     

    Whenever I run into odd behaviors like this, it's the first thing (and usually last thing) I  do to fix it, especially when it's an issue that "just started happening" suddently...

    OK.  Install the latest updates. 12.3 is the latest.

    you could just click the little folder next to the text box and then you will be able to browse for a image
