Hi, sometimes I need to make corrections to pdf documents that are protected. The way I do it is printing them with bullzip printer and then I open the converted pdf document in Adobe Illustrator to make the corrections. But sometimes when I open the document in Illustrator most of it is blank or with very strange characters. You can see an example of these strange characters in http://clip2net.com/s/2T65i . Any idea? Thanks, Gustavo
Well, what you're doing isn't a "supported workflow," so it's not likely you'll get any replies addressing the systemic reasons for what you're encountering.
You may have good reason for doing it, but strictly speaking from a legal/technical standpoint, when you're hacking into protected documents, an unworkable result is due to that very protection. If what you're doing is legitimate enough to ask about in a public forum, why don't you have a password?
I understand. I sometimes have to make minor orthographic changes in names, for the document is being created in an US based company and they dont support some latin charachters in their reports (like the ñ), and I didn´t want to ask them for the password. But I understand your objection and I´ll ask for the password to solve this issue.
