Illustrator Artboard Limitations

Does Illustrator have limitations in place that do not allow artboards to be to the "hundredth" of a decimal number? Everytime I try to input three decimals in the size, it automatically rounds the size to two decimals. Any advice would be greatly appreicated! Thanks!

    it rounds to two digits for display only, internally it would be the size you entered.

    to test, after creating a document, change the width to anything with 3 decimal places, run this script

    var idoc = app.activeDocument;
    alert ('the document width is ' + idoc.width);

    But beware: If you scale such an object numerically by the Scale dialog, it will scale according to its non-rounded dimension. But if you scale it numerically by entering a multiplier in its dimension fields, it will calculate by the rounded value displayed.
