Content bugging out/vanishing in Flash!

Hi,

I have been encountering an ongoing problem recently within Flash CS5. At times, a certain piece of hand-drawn content will bug out when I try to edit it. This is hard to explain in words, so below are images which demonstrate some of the issues:

The original image:

The image after clicking on the main skin tone:

Makes no sense at all. This isn't the only problem - sometimes if I try to select an area it will disappear entirely, sometimes hollow out, sometimes fill certain details with the skin tone.

I know I can't fix this by copying and pasting the content into a new document or anywhere else, as this image was a copy/paste job from a previous project. Any ideas on this? Or is it just a horrible bug that I can't get round?

    1.  save your fla in a new directory that has no subdirectories and save it with a new name.

    2.  update the drivers for your video card.

    update your mac pro software.

if that fails, reinstall flash pro.  i don't see any reason to uninstall or deactivate first.
