How do I scan photos directly into my edit portion of my photoshop elements 9 for Mac?

Mar 2, 2013 11:20 PM

I can't find out how to scan my photos  directly into my photoshop elements9 for mac.  I see the drop down for camera and videos, but there isn't a category for scanners.  Help please.

On windows ther is an additional choice other than Frame from Video under:

File >> Import >> WIA Support

If you scanner needs TWAIN support you will have copy the Import Modules folder. See this link:

There is nothing to install, it's simply a question of copying a folder in Finder.

The link gives details of what to copy from Optional to plug-ins.

Go to Applications→Adobe Photoshop Elements 9→Support Files→Optional Plug-Ins→Import Modules, and move TWAIN.plugin from there into Applications→Adobe Photoshop Elements 9→Support Files→Plug-Ins→Import Modules.

    No copying. Just move.
