I have just installed a new computer when my old one died. I had everything backed up and have managed to successfully restore my lightroom catalogue.
I can see all my photos and all the adjustment history and I can see my library of keywords. However, none of my photos show the key words that I previously assigned to them.
I am not sure whether there is a file that I need to restore from the backup somewhere.
Can anyone help please?
I think I copied and pasted the backed up catalog to my new computer, loaded up Lightroom and then from Lightroom did File>Open Catalog and navigated to the pasted file. I am using LR3 by the way, if that makes any difference.

Well then I'm stumped, if the edits are present, and you really followed the method you just described, then the keywords should be there. You are saying that the Keywording Panel is empty (shows no keywords) for a photo that you were sure had keywords? Or are you deciding the keywords are missing via some other process?
I have discovered what the problem is, which is I am an idiot!
I had inadvertently clicked the smart collection "Without Keywords" which accounts for the fact that the photos that were on view had no keywords.
So problem solved. Thanks again for taking an interest.
