Text formatting question

My text is entering as all caps, no matter what I try. How can I change it back to standard formatting? And, no, I don't have caps lock on

What is the font you are using, change the font type and see is it the same?

    Thanks

In Editor,  click on 'Edit->Preferences->General' and click on button 'Reset preferences on next launch'. Now quit the Editor. Navigate to, and right click 'PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe ' (located inside 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 11' folder) and select 'Run as admin'. Try your workflow and let me know if it is working fine or not.

On the text tool's oprtion bar, top left, there is a little arrow or icon (depends on version). Click on that and reset the tool.

If that does not fix it, reset preferences.

Did you try the font in another application such as a word processor?  Some fonts are strictly caps even if you type lower-case.
