Does anyone know how to change the Syntax Coloring in the code inspector so that it will be enabled by default? I just installed CS6 and it seems the new default for Syntax Coloring is "disabled" thus requiring me to enable it everytime I open the program. I have a feeling it has something to do with workspace layouts but maybe I'm wrong.
Thanks,
NB
Hi,
Can you check out the Syntax Coloring option in the section on Set the Code appearance on this help page, http://help.adobe.com/en_US/dreamweaver/cs/using/WSc78c5058ca073340dcd a9110b1f693f21-7be0a.html#WSc78c5058ca073340dcda9110b1f693f21-7bdea, and let us know if it helped?
Thanks,
Preran
Ideally it should stay at the last preference you set, so if you leave it enable and create a new document or relaunch Dreamweaver then it should be enabled. A same will happen if you disable it.
By default its enable.
Did you tried reseting the preferences:
Refer below to reset the preferences:

lol, I hear ya. I was actually working with an external CSS file. Dreamweaver shows the external CSS in the code side of split view by default while showing the actual page in design view allowing you to modify the CSS with instant resutls in design view - pretty cool feature that I never knew about! Somehow after working like this it fixed the issue... or at least it seems to be working for now!
Well guess what... its back again. I had to reinstall Dreamweaver CS6 due to an unrelated issue and now Code Inspector is back to his old tricks. I can't for the life of me seem to get Syntax Coloring to stay enabled for the code inspector. Like I said before it works fine for "code view" but once I close Dreamweaver the next time I open it "Code Inspector" is back to black and white. Very frustrating - oh, and no, none of the aforementioned documentation helps. Yes ideally it should keep the last setting and does for every file while the program has not been closed, but once it is closed upon the next open its back to black and white code in the code inspector.
