Extracting CSS properties from design objects not working

Mar 6, 2013 2:51 AM

Hi,

I'm using Fireworks CS6. I saw an Adobe tutorial on extracting CSS for objects created in Fireworks and it looked quite easy and simple to do.

But I'm having a problem when I copy that css code into my css document. I am using Dreamweaver CS6 also.

The problem is that my button doesn't have neither the gradient I made in FW and it doesn't keep the size (w 345px, h 113px).

The object is very simple:

background-image:-moz-linear-gradient(50% 0% -90deg,rgb(0,109,217) 0%,rgb(38,147,255) 100%);

background-image:-webkit-gradient(linear,50% 0%,50% 100%,color-stop(0, rgb(0,109,217)),color-stop(1, rgb(38,147,255)));

background-image:-webkit-linear-gradient(-90deg,rgb(0,109,217) 0%,rgb(38,147,255) 100%);

background-image:-o-linear-gradient(-90deg,rgb(0,109,217) 0%,rgb(38,147,255) 100%);

background-image:-ms-linear-gradient(-90deg,rgb(0,109,217) 0%,rgb(38,147,255) 100%);

background-image:linear-gradient(-90deg,rgb(0,109,217) 0%,rgb(38,147,255) 100%);

width:345px;

height:113px;

border-color:rgb(0,0,140);

border-width:5px;

-moz-border-radius:22px;

-webkit-border-radius:22px;

border-radius:22px;

border-style:solid;

-ms-filter:"progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr=# ff006dd9,endColorstr=#ff2693ff,GradientType=0)";

filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr=#ff006 dd9,endColorstr=#ff2693ff,GradientType=0);

And I'm trying to have that as a button so my html is (I named that class "button")

<a class="button" href="#">submit</a>

.button {

background-image:-moz-linear-gradient(50% 0% -90deg,rgb(0,109,217) 0%,rgb(38,147,255) 100%);

background-image:-webkit-gradient(linear,50% 0%,50% 100%,color-stop(0, rgb(0,109,217)),color-stop(1, rgb(38,147,255)));

background-image:-webkit-linear-gradient(-90deg,rgb(0,109,217) 0%,rgb(38,147,255) 100%);

background-image:-o-linear-gradient(-90deg,rgb(0,109,217) 0%,rgb(38,147,255) 100%);

background-image:-ms-linear-gradient(-90deg,rgb(0,109,217) 0%,rgb(38,147,255) 100%);

background-image:linear-gradient(-90deg,rgb(0,109,217) 0%,rgb(38,147,255) 100%);

width:345px;

height:113px;

border-color:rgb(0,0,140);

border-width:5px;

-moz-border-radius:22px;

-webkit-border-radius:22px;

border-radius:22px;

border-style:solid;

-ms-filter:"progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr=# ff006dd9,endColorstr=#ff2693ff,GradientType=0)";

filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr=#ff006 dd9,endColorstr=#ff2693ff,GradientType=0);

}

Help please!

Thanks!
