Hi!
I am hoping someone might help me with this:
Whenever I attempt to make a new master page InDesign CS6 crashes. An error message pops up, saying: "Adobe Indesign is shutting down. A serious error was detected..."
I saw a different thread, which explained that deleting my preferences might help. I tried it, but it hasn't helped.
Any help is much appreciated!
It happens with any document. I'm working on a book cover, and it happens when I attempt to make a new master for the spine (which has a different width than the other master page). I'm not basing it on another master, and I get up to the point of clicking "create new master" and then the error message pops up.
I'm working on a Mac, on the 8.0 version of inDesign cs6.
Trash your prefs (see Replace Your Preferences) and empty the InDesign Recovery folder (this is a hidden folder in the same path as InDesign Saved Data), then restart. Then any file that was a problem should probably run through .idml (see Remove minor corruption by exporting).
