Using Photoshop CS 6 and Premiere Elements 11

Mar 6, 2013 5:53 PM

I have Premiere Elements 11 and Photoshop CS 6.  I have using the Classroom in a Book to learn how to work Premiere Elements.  In chapter 12 you are supposed to use both Elements programs.  Is there any way to use CS 6 with Premiere Elements.  I don't have the capital to go out and buy another program.

I would appreciate your input.

You can choose Edit Original in PrE, to Open the PSD in Photoshop.

As this is more a question for PrE (recent topics on the same subject), maybe a MOD will move this to the Premiere Elements Forum.

    Good luck,

You are in the Premiere Pro forum.

But anyway you can use Photoshop CS6 (psd files) with Elements 11.

The file e.g. jpeg has to be assosiated (open with) with Photoshop.

Right click on the file e.g. jpeg in Elements 11 and select Edit Original.

A moderator will move you soon to the Elements forum.

Although there are a number of features (as well as the shared Elements Organizer) for working directly with Premiere Elements that are only available in Photoshop Elements. Whether they're critical to the work you do or not is up to you, though, of course.
