FW Compression Vs Third Party Tools

I'm working on an ecommerce site that requires large image. These images are in the ball park of 1000pixels wide 500 pixels high... Some are .jpg some are .png.

 

I know FW has a pretty good compression algorithim. Are there any third party tools that can compress better? I don't mind if I need to pay for them.
