I'm new to Illustrator, I have CS6.  I do architectrural sign design. I have to show the customer, my staff, and the city or county issuing permits the height, width, depth, and other scaled dimensions on the printed and electronic copies of the artwork.  I cannot find a dimension drawing tool in the program.  Can someone please help me with this? [ spam bait removed by admin ] I need help with this as soon as possible. Thank you.

AI does not provide dimension tools by default. There are plugins and probably some well-intentioned scripts.

What Kurt said... You would have to draw them manually or use plug-ins/ scripts...

Why don't you just buy a competitive side-grade to Corel Draw? In the sign trade, you'll likely make frequent use of not just dimension tools, but also user-defined drawing scales, callout tools, and the abiility to specify text size by cap height.

Those are some of the reasons Draw fairly dominates the sign trade and some other specific markets.
