Problem in desktop layout in "Building fluid grid layouts in Adobe Dreamweaver CS6"

In this tutorial you taught to design a responsive site ....but the Terrestrial Nursery completed page doesnot work well in Internet Explorer in 14 inches Square Monitor........that you have placed the three columns in the same alignment...but while viewing those three columns comes down one by one..........but works well in wide screen......is there any problem in the size of the monitor..........

It doesnot work well in Internet Explorer 8....What to do for the responsive site to work well in all the older versions of IE....

Older (pre-IE9) browsers don't support CSS Media Queries. But that's not a problem because Mobile & Tablet devices don't use IE browsers. They'll just see the desktop version.
