Smart Sound

Mar 8, 2013 8:21 AM

I'm assuming, from reading other posts, that Smart Sound is an add-on to Adobe Premier Elements.

This morning, browsing through All Programs list, I saw Smart Sound. Not knowing what it was, I clicked on it and Sonic Fire Pro 5. Would not open. Kept getting the error shown.

Any idea why it won't open?

Appreciate any responses.Smart Sound Sonic Capture.PNG

    Apparently it's not properly installed.

Which version of the program are you using? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling SmartSound?

What happens if you access SmartSound (Sonicfire Pro 5) from within PrE?

For full installation instructions for SmartSound, see this Help Page: http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/kb/installing-smartsound.html

    Good luck,

SmartSound is a music creation (not from the ground up, like some programs, but with the use of SmartSound music), that is included with PrE. Things were just a bit different with PrE, before PrE 11.

IIRC, SmartSound is accessed from the New icon in the Project Panel (that was where it was located in PrE 4.0), and it will launch the SmartSound module.

For more info on what SmartSound is, see this article: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4912568#4912568

    Good luck,

In version 10, SmartSound is launched by clicking on the green speaker icon along the upper left of the timeline.

Your files are pretty old, if they haven't been updated since August of 2011. You may want to go to this page first and make sure you have the latest version of the software installed, then restart Premiere Elements and see if it will launch.

    Steve,

Thank you for that information. Seems that SmartSound moved around a bit.

    Appreciated,
