How do I make mapped art on revolved object scalable?

I have a revolved half circle and mapped a rectangle around it to form a spherical ribbon. Whenever I resize it, it looks different. How do I get it to stay the way it looks without losing resolution?

    A. Rectangle mapped to half circle, 3D Revolve 360°.

    B. Object A, arbitrarily scaled up.

    C. Object A after Object > Expand Appearance.

    D. Object C scaled up.

Actually to solve the initial problem "scale strokes and effects" should do. No need to expand the stuff.

When you expand however, the mapped art with gradient will in fact be converted to pixels. If you don't expand the art, it will stay "live" and changing the document raster resolution to a sufficient value will be enough. WHen you need a different size, scale it and/or change the resolution again.
