How to remove a watermark

Hi, I'm new to all this, I have got Photoshop elements 11 and I need to remove a watermark can anybody point me in the right direction to achieve this ?

    Try the spot healing brush. In the tool options make sure content aware is selected. Set an appropriate brush size and then paint over the watermark and part of the surrounding area in one swoop and release the mouse button. If any streaks or marks get left behind; do another sweep with the spot healing tool.

    If that does not work, try the clone stamp tool.


    Another way to tackle this is to patch over the area that you want to get rid of. So, if there is an adjacent area that is clear of the watermark, use one of the selection tools (e.g. rectangular marquee tool), select a good area, go to Layer menu>New>Layer via copy. The patch will be on its own layer. Use the move tool to position the patch over the watermark.
