Help with slide show requested.

I am trying to make changes to a slide show I created several years ago.  When I try to open the show in PSE 10 (in the create slide show program), only the first slide is shown.  It has a small film icon in the upper right hand corner, and I cannot open the other slides.  I created the program in 2010 using the then current editition of PSE and saved it and then recorded it using Windows on a DVD.

Any help that anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Bruce

Double click on the thumbnail to open the project.

If you have a film icon in the upper corner, then this is not a slideshow project file, it is a rendered video. It may have been created as a slideshow, but is now simply a movie. You will have to use a video editing application, like Premiere Elements to edit this file.

Good point Brett or see if the original project is available.

Try typing into the Organizer search box PSESS to find your saved projects.

You can hide all other file types except for Projects (like slideshows) by unchecking them under the menu View > Media Types.

Also, the slideshow icon will look sorta like a hand of cards fanned out (unless you are using Elements 11)

This document explains why things are normally lost:

    Common catalog upgrade issues

However, if you started in 6 and have been upgrading regularly, it should have been brought over. Try converting the catalog again (make sure you are converting the correct catalog) to get the slide show in a more recent version (though little has changed for slideshow editing).
