Can you please post a screenshot of what you're seeing so we could help? Also, I guess you're talking about CS3?

I have tried to take a screen capture with two different programes but when

I activate the screen capture programe the floating paletts disapear from

the screen. The only way I can describe the problem is: for instance , when

I left click the mouse on the objects palette I can drag it anywhere, but

when I left click the properties palett it will not move. It stays half

hidden behind the windows task bar on the bottom of the page. Is this of

help to you.

Please clarify which DW you are referring to - is it DW3 or DWCS3 (there's about a 10-year span between the two).

Apologies its the older version DW3. Can't afford to upgrade. Only use it

as a hobby.

Where are you clicking on the panel to drag it?

My old MX2004 version has the drag bar on only the left edge of the panel.

Is your Windows Taskbar set to "auto hide" itself?

Of the people that answer posts here, I'll bet that fewer than 30% of them have ever used DW3, which is vintage 1999-2000. I'm guessing that there is some issue between a 15-year old program and a contemporary OS (which OS are you using?).

Hi Lads,

appreciate that its an old version, but its the only one I have so maybe

one of the 30% who have used it can answer the problem.

I have tried moving the palette using the side bar with no affect, all

other palettes can be moved with the top bar. also hiding or un-hiding the

task bar makes no difference. Thanks for your help, any more ideas.

Try running DW3 in Compatibility mode for Windows XP to see if that helps at all.

I don't think so. DW3 is just too ancient...
