Stupid Question

I have been trying to put text along a path as found in this article http://www.photoshopessentials.com/basics/type-on-a-path/

 

However my tool bar looks like this when my elipse is selected

The one in the Tutorial show one like this

What am I not doing to enable my option menu to show these tools?

    The tutorial shows the CS5 Options bar for Ellipse Tool (not a marquee tool).

    You are using the CS6 Elliptical Marquee Tool.

     

    Use the Ellipse Tool and pick Path mode in the Options bar.

    I have as you shared Conroy...Still my option are not as the tutorial shows?...

    My options will not as the tutorials due to Cs6 vs Cs5 as is in the old tutorial. Thanks Conroy. I got it as you stated, I was using the Marquee not the eliptical and was waiting for the tool bar to appear as the other. All while it would have worked as you stated. LOL!
