Premier Elements 11

Mar 16, 2013 4:40 PM

I am going to use Premier Elements 11. Do I need to purchase Photoshop Elements 11 or can I use Photoshop Elements 9 or Photoshop cs5, both of which I own?

Hi, reedsnvt738. Premiere Elements has its own forum and you'll get better answers to PRE questions there. I'll move this over there for you.

There are a couple of tools in Photoshop Elements 11 that speak directly to Premiere Elements -- but you can probably get by without them. You can certainly use Photoshop or an earlier version of Photo Elements to prepare your photos and graphics for a Premiere Elements project.

Premiere Elements comes with its own Organizer, so any communication between Elements Organizer 11 and Premiere Elements 11 will work fine.

One operation that will be unavailable (grayed out), will be Edit in Photoshop Elements (do not think that PrElements will directly link to older versions of Photoshop Elements), but you should  have Edit Original, that will basically do the same thing.

    Good luck,
