Editing jpeg files with Photoshop Elements 10 corrupts the files so they cannot be viewed on a TV, how do I rectify this - the software as it stands is completely useless as I want to present slideshows to a number of people simultaneously via the TV. On initial use this didn't happen but it does now even after we reinstalled the programme. Can anyone help, it's just so frustrating?
Please try launching Editor keeping Ctrl+Shift+Alt keys pressed and delete the settings file when prompted. It is possible that sometime knowingly or unknowingly you touched the saving file preferences post which editor stops appending extension to saved files. Deleting preference files will reset this change.
Deleting the setting file worked (although I'm not sure if it was for the reason you stated as the files still had a jpg extension) - on the edited originals at least! Hooray! However, one more query just in case, can you suggest a way of salvaging the already edited files without spending all those hours editing the originals again?
Thanks ever so much, I am extremely grateful for your help.
