I would like to test my magento store tafelzeilonline.com on different browsers. I used to use Dreamweaver to test my static websites.
Is there any Adobe tool i can use for this? Not only screenshots, but live testing.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance
Well, sadly Adobe had a 'static' test tool called 'BrowserLab' that is dead as of last week. Anyway, it wouldn't have let you do 'Live' testing.
There are 2 paid services that you could use in your case:
For simple screenshots, http://browsershots.org/ is a nice site.
Can you check out Edge Inspect? The software addresses your problem. There are other tools I found here http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2011/08/07/a-dozen-cross-browser-testi ng-tools/. Adobe BrowserLab was recently decommissioned, and you can no longer use it for testing.
Let us know if this helped.
I didn't find browser lab very useful anyway, there were not many browsers available for viewing.
A better solution I found was to install all available browsers on my Mac plus do the same for my window OSes on my virtual machine. There I could see much better what was going on with current browers that people were actually using.
One thing I found out was that even when using the same browser fonts look much better on a Mac than on a PC and that there is not much you can do about it. I am hoping that type-kit and web fonts will help but not yet experimented with that yet.
