My music is messed up

Mar 18, 2013 10:02 AM

Hello.

I have completed a video on Premiere Elements 11 and exported it so that it can playback on my computer and for some reason the music is all messed up and keeps repeating itself in places.

Any ideas as to why?

What is the project settings and what is your source material?

    Do they match?

Also, is your music a WAV file?

There are occasional comments that behavior varies on the "Soundtrack" and "Naration" track in earlier versions.  It may be true here too.  If your music is on "Soundtrack" try cutting and pasting to Audio 1 or Audio 2.

    Welcome to the forum.

Along with the answers to the questions posed, I agree with Bill, that sometimes, the two Fixed Audio Tracks, Narration and Soundtrack, can get messed up. This is almost always Project-specific, where the next Project might work, as it should, 100%. If you used either of those Fixed Audio Tracks, then Bill's suggestion should work just fine, and you loose nothing.

    Good luck,

    Hunt

    Not likely.

But what do you mean by "When I play it back on the computer"? What are you playing back on the computer? If it's your output file, please tell us which Publish & Share option you selected? It could be your computer is struggling with its playback.

The video exported onto the computer so that it can play on the video software such as Media Player. I am using the second option on Public & Share which is MPEG

Under the MPEG tab there are 18 choices.  The first default is for old standard definition TVs and DVD players, if you have one.  Try a couple different ones.  Hopefully, one that comes close to matching your project preset that should match you video source files.

If that doesn't work, try a choice or two under the AVCHD tab.

Later versions of Media Player will play a lot of file formats.
