PS cs6 - PS Application error message re: (0xc000007b)

Mar 18, 2013 1:32 PM

I received the PS cs6 "photoshop.exe - application error" message stating: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application. It ran fine three days ago and now obviously will not open up. Which of course I need to work in PS for a deadline tomorrow. HELP!!! What do I need to do, or where do I need to go, etc... It is not a trial, it is fully licensed PS cs6 seat. Others in the office have the same software and are not experiencing any issue's.

That error means INVALID_IMAGE_FORMAT -- the application binaries, or some library you are trying to load, are corrupt on disk.

If you have any third party plugins, disable all of them then try to launch again.

If you installed any utilities recently, try disabling them.

Otherwise you probably have to reinstall the Photoshop application (then reapply the updates).
