I have been searching all over and I cannot figure out how to get a spry radio group to lay out horizontally on my page.
I am trying to create a survey with 9 radio buttons and the page will go on forever and just not look right with 9 inline options for each question.
I want it to look like below.
Can anybody assist?
Since Adobe abandoned the Spry framework last year, I'm not inclined to use it for anything.
You should be able to style your form with CSS. For better answers, we would need to see a link to your test page.
I made a copy you can see. It's just a mess now.
I can't figure out how to not have 'Please make a selection' and 'A value is requested' showing up automatically.
I've make tons of surveys in CS3, but this is the first time I've tried since I've upgraded and I am totally lost, and way behind schedule.
Any ideas are much appreciated!!!!
Maybe that’s the problem? I’m about in tears. I have used this for years as CS3 and now I have no idea what I’m doing.
I don’t even know why they aren’t uploaded or how to do that. I thought they were ‘embedded’ somehow.
I have other forms on this site that work and they use spry to ensure people fill out certain questions. But I created them in CS3.
What is so different now that I can’t get anything to work like it used to?
I’m sorry. I was supposed to have this thing up and running 4 minutes ago and I have nothing to show for hours and days worth of planning.
If you look at your code starting on line 123, you have references to several files inside a SpryAssets folder. Manually upload your SpryAssets folder from your Files Panel (F8).
I think you just helped me immensely!!!!
When I upgraded, I was afraid of messing up the thousands of links on my sites when I set up the sites in CS6.
Now, whenever I post a new link, I manually remove the /www from each file, so it finds it in the structure.
Those spry assets were uploaded with the /www in them, so they weren't being called up correctly.
I just removed that from those and the page looks different now.
I still have a mess, but at least I won't have the 'please make a selection' showing unless they don't make one.
I also see another problem. Your links to Spry files are digging down to the /www/ folder in your site root. This leads me to believe your site definition in DW is messed up.
If you change the link paths to ../SpryAssets/etc... it may work better.
The site definition is messed up, but I'm terrified of making it worse, so I just manually fix any new links I make.
I'm just going to try to muddle through and get this survey working somehow.
I keep saying I'm going to take the time to learn CS6 and fix the mess I already have, but the time never seems to be there.
Thank you for your help. I am sorry to have been such a bother but you have at least helped me get rid of those messages that I have been trying for the last week to figure out how to make them go away.
At this point, I think I'll just see if my boss is ok with the ratings being inline vertically, because I just don't see how to do it horizontally and I have to have something for him today.
