I created an EPUB and PDF version of a course I am working on, with interactive elements such as audio (mp3) and video (H.264/mp4). When I export the file as an interactive PDF I first get the message "One or more of the interactive elements are clipped in ways the pdf files can't reproduce...."
When I continue and open the PDF, the audio button/player won't show up, I just get the blank space and the "Click to activate" tool tip on mouse-over. The video works fine and displays fine.
When I open the same interactive PDF on my iPad or Xoom tablet, the audio still won't show, but also won't play, and the video poster image is visible but nothing happens when you tap it.
Any suggestions on how to make this work?
Thanks!
Philip
Most tablet PDF readers can't play multimedia. Read about it here in my InDesignSecret.com blog. The key is using the right reader:
