My Windows 7 Adobe CS6 v13.0.1 x64 hangs when loading a file. However the CS6 v13.0.1 x32 application runs correctly. Do I need to re-install Adobe CS6 Upgarde?
Hi there! Because the forum you originally posted in is for beginners trying to learn the basics of Photoshop, I moved your question to the Photoshop General Discussion forum, where you'll get more specialized help.

Chris,
I have only recently upgraded to Windows Photoshop CS6. When I try to open a picture file, when in 64bit mode, Photoshop hangs. In that my cursor becomes a rotating blue ring. I have waited some time but in the end I am forced to use CTRL+ALT+DELETE to exit Photoshop. I have no such problems using 32Bit Photoshop. I am using an Intel Core i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30GHz PC running in 64Bit Mode.
I originally purchased, downloaded and installed CS6 version 13.0.1. Yesterday I installed update version 13.0.1.1. Unfortunately, CS6 x64 still hung up whenever I loaded a file. However, there may be other Photoshop updates that I am not aware of.
Your second suggestion looks interesting. My PC supports an ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series "Quiet" Graphics card. I regularly update the drivers. However, I could take another look at the GPU website.
Thank you for your advice. I will report back.
