Internet Explorer problems: z-index?

I have my website nearly finished, but am still having issues with its display in IE. The navigation bar (spry menu) has a white box over it and you can only see the text when you hover over it. (I believe this has to do with the z-index? I've read some solutions say div tags can be added around the problematic code, add position: absolute; before the z-index. However, I don't know how to do this because I made the website in Design mode and didn't work with the code much.) Additionally, the there are boxes around the images that have been inserted - why is this? None of this shows up in Modzilla. It looks fine in Chrome as well....why does it look so bad in IE??!! Any help would be very much appreciated as it was our hope to have the website officially "live" earlier this week....

The link to your site is missing!

Open your Spry.css file and towards the bottom you'll see conditional code or IE hacks.  Change the default background from #FFF to whatever...

AFAIK, you don't need to change the z-index.

Which IE browser are you testing with?

Check your code for validation errors.  While editing you might have omitted a semi-colon or curly bracket from your CSS code.

Yeah.  If that's all you did.  Save changes.  Upload to server & refresh your browser.
