How can I describe an image with pop-up text?

How can I add a pop-up text box to describe  images in a pdf document? A permanent text box is too distracting. I have tried adding sticky notes as comments using Acrobat, but the font size is too small when the file is read in Adobe Reader.

There are a nmumber of ways you can do this. If you add a button over the image and make it invisible by setting the border and background color and set the Tooltip text to what you want display, the Tooltip text will be displayed when the cursor is over the button. You can also use a Show/Hide field action to display a normally hidden field (text field or button) that dispalys the text you want on when the mouse enters/exits a button. You can also use JavaScript to show/hide fields or layers.

This sample demonstates showing a separate image using two different methods: https://workspaces.acrobat.com/?d=aP-2xL45pM57xVkT6d6fSg
