Hi, I have successfully downloaded and used a few CS6 programs in my new Creative Cloud membership, i.e. Photoshop, Flash, Bridge.

However, I've downloaded and installed and updated, twice, Adobe Premiere CS6. I did uninstall it in between installs.

The program won't open. The error message I keep getting is:

My computer is an HP Envy 15 Notebook PC running Windows 7 Home Premium.

Processor: Intel Core i7-3610QM 2.30GHz

64 bit OS

Any suggestions on how to correct this? I don't want to go to a full computer reformat if there is a simpler solution since I just did one recently. Is there anything I can update or download as a patch, perhaps to fix this?

Thanks for any advice! I appreciate your time and looking into this.

Are you updated to Premiere Pro CS6 (6.0.3)?

    >Intel HD Graphics 4000 and Radeon HD 7750M.

First, do not use Windows Update... you must go to the vendor web site and check

Second, you need to tell your computer to use your more powerful graphics adapter... the Radeon

I tried getting into my BIOS but didn't see the option to reset there.

Wait...did you actually get into the BIOS?

You're right -- it's best to get the system problems solved first.  It may indeed make Pr work properly.

Every similar message I have read about this kind of problem (many others that I did not include in the links I posted in #8) have indicated that Premiere (both Pro and Elements) will not run well... if at all... when a computer has switchable graphics adapters

If your BIOS does not include any option to turn off the motherboard graphics chip, it is my opinion... from those other messages... that you will not get Premiere to work

I do have Elements, and it works well enough. It does seem to take a very long time to load, but it does load, and it doesn't crash

This appears to be normal, and goes back to at least PrE 4.0. PrE 11 is no quicker to load, about twice as long as any version of PrPro that I have used. Sometimes, if I re-launch PrE, it will load a bit more quickly, but still slower than PrPro does. Why? I have never read an explanation. I think that it is just the way that PrE is coded, and would not use its load time as a benchmark for anything.

Good luck with the PrPro issues,

It is possible that Adobe Premier Pro.exe is blocked in Firewall. Unblock it, if so.
