I want to use vertical footage, but it automatically rotates horizontally. How do I keep it vertical

I'm trying to use vertically shot footage for a virtual-tour-like effect.  elements 10 automatically rotates the footage horizontally.  How do I keep it vertical?

    Welcome to the forum.

     

    Can you give us the full specs. of your Video and also the Project Preset that you selected for it, at New Project?

    Hi Bill

     

    Not quite sure what info you are looking for (my lack of techie-ness is showing). 

     

    I'm using a canon 5d m3 for the video

    These are the presets that came up         DSLR-1080p-DSLR 1080p30 @ 29.97

     

    I know most people don't want vertical footage, but I'm exploring alternatives to the virtual tours I do.
