Gaps Between Objects

So, when I have two closed-path objects resting against one another (say two squares, edge-to-edge) I see a very thin white line / gap at certain zoom levels, mostly when zoomed out or at 'fit art... to window'.  However, when I zoom waaay in, the gap vanishes.

The question is, which zoom level do I trust?  Application is for print.

It is only e previuw problem in Illustrator, if you don't want to see this remove Anti-aliased Artwork in your preferences.

    Dan,

The question is, which zoom level do I trust?

150% and those reachable from it by DoubleClicking the Zoom In/Out (including all those divisble by 3) should be tight against rifts in the time space continuum.

    WHAT UP JACOB

I still get the ghosty hairlines dan is referring to when I use 150%, 300%, etc. But this could be because I exist outside of space and time, unlike you foolish mortals.

There are one or two recent threads about that topic. You can forage for them.

    Mathias, Dan,

I forgot to mention that you may need to have her face present to make it work.

But neither of you seem to have any reason for worry.

Apart from that we do have a few rather conspicuos ongoing rifts in this very forum.

    Hi Kurt. No snow?

Dan, are you sure you didn't actually go full retard? It happens.

Wait, what woman's face do I need?

    No, it's springtime here, Jacob.

Just an escaped mandarin duck in the garden. Beautiful.

Now I have to ask, Kurt: Did it roost in a tree?
