How do i save a page in dreamweaver so it works in an Email?
Some more reading for you:
I would have also suggested Mailchimp like Ben did above.
However another option is to save the page you have designed as a .htm file then in Outlook create a new message and add attachment but choose 'insert as text' from the option at the bottom, this displays the page in the body of the email as opposed to just adding the file as an attachment.
The head of the page is not carried into HTML emails as far as I can determine. Linked or embedded stylesheets there will fail. Further, if your page relies on background images, or floats, or any other post 1990-type CSS, that will not work.
Perhaps this is where mailchimp gets round it then. Generally the email templates don't use background colours/images or presumably anything that would not work when pasted into an email this way
Having said that, this is an email I designed a while ago and I had no issue inserting this as text into an email via Outlook as described above. Surely the css determines the positioning of the 3 boxes for example and it displayed fine in an email. http://us4.campaign-archive1.com/?u=a63d83f2064724dcf9ec59ddb&id=e16c0 84933

Nope - that's a table-based layout scheme, which is pretty much how you need to go with HTML emails.
Ah right, that explains it then.
On another note, sorry to hijack a thread but if you get chance could you have a look at my other post about required fields on a form? Just thought i'd ask as you look like a veteran of Dreamweaver so may be able to offer your knowledge http://forums.adobe.com/message/5174686#5174686 Much appreciated if you can.
