Save as creates border

Whenever I save a file as a jpeg, the resulting file has a white border around it. I can't find any way to turn that off. Is it possible?

A jpeg can't have any transparent areas in it, so you can't keep empty areas empty in a jpg--they will always fill with white. That's just the nature of jpeg files. Use PNG-24, Tiff, Gif, PSD instead when you need transparency.

No, actually it doesn't. Can you post a screenshot of the image open in the workspace? Saving a file never changes the size unless you use save for web and tell it to do that.

No problem. Thanks for taking the time to come back and let us know what it turned out to be.
