16px font size not in the dropdown, why?

I have a very simple question.

Default font size for web is 16px.

Why does Photoshop skip 16px in the font size dropdown?

..12px 14px 18px.....

Is there a way to edit the dropdown menu?

The drop-down box does not show size in pixels, but rather in points (1/72 of an inch). For a doc with a resolution of 72 ppi, they will be equivalent.

If you double-click on the size field to highlight it, you can enter whatever size you desire.

since 16px is the default font size of the web.

Where do you get that from? There is no such thing as a default web font size.

Of course you're right about the Prefrences. I was sure it was there, but couldn't find it. Turns out I was looking und 'Type', not 'Units and Rulers'. Senior moment!
