Preparing to Install ... FOR 12 HOURS?!?!

I have installed CS 6 Master Collection before using my Creative Cloud account, so I was not prepared for this strange behavior.

I am running

Hardware Overview:

  Model Name:          Mac Pro

  Model Identifier:          MacPro4,1

  Processor Name:          Quad-Core Intel Xeon

  Processor Speed:          2.26 GHz

  Number of Processors:          2

  Total Number of Cores:          8

  L2 Cache (per Core):          256 KB

  L3 Cache (per Processor):          8 MB

  Memory:          24 GB

  Processor Interconnect Speed:          5.86 GT/s

Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)

i have tried 4 times to install CS 6 Master Collection, and each time it halts at Preparing to Install.

What's the problem here?

uninstall any cs6 programs you have currently installed.

run the cleaner:  http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

then use adobe application manager to install your programs.

Doh!

I was trying to install from an external drive, not the system drive. When I copied the dmg to the system drive it installed perfectly using the Adobe Application Manager.

Sorry for the fuss!
