Need help

Mar 25, 2013 10:19 PM

When using photoshop CS6, when I create a new layer, the starting zoom is 3%. The thing is that this 3% is HUGE. It's like 100%. And when i go to 100% its too big to see, making it impossible to do anything.

Moved from the Creative Cloud to the Photoshop forum. They will be able to help you here.

what is your canvas pixel size and resolution?

    resolution is usually 72 / 150 / 300dpi

and normally you wouldn't reach above 10k pixels either.

When you create a new document, Photoshop will zoom so the canvas is all visible in the window. If that's a 3% zoom then your document must measure roughly 20000 to 30000 pixels in width and/or height. Do you really want that many pixels?
