Hi, i realy hope someone can help. I have developed an Android App in dreamweaver SC5.5 using jquery mobile. The app itself works fine but when installing it tells me the app has permission to access all of the androids features, eg: test messages, camera, memory etc. How can i change this?
Your app demands those 3 features from your device. So, your device is letting you know that your app will have access to those. If that's how you want it, you can safely confirm the message and proceed with installation.
There's no way that you can disable the device from prompting for permission when your app is programmed to use those features.
Sorry i didn put enough detail in the question. i didn purposely programme the app to use any features at all. i started off my app using the jquery mobile template that comes with CS 5.5. I have looked through the code and found nothing that i can change. But yet the app looks to access all of the androids features.
Sudarshan can correct me if I am wrong, but what I infer is that you can choose to access Android features from your application if you want to. Whether you want to access them through your application is your discretion. It does not imply that your application will be using/forced to use those features.
Ok, my problem is this. When installing the App, on the install screen it gives me a list of what features the App can access, which is all the features the on the android.
My problem is that i dont want the App to access any of them features, i only want it to have internet access. I did'nt programme any permissions into the App at all. And i cant find in dreamweaver where to set the permissions for the App.
+1 Preran. That is why your device is prompting to let you know that your app 'demands' the use of those features. Its at your users discretion to allow/ disallow that.
@Jamie: Glad you've found a fix. Good luck!
Sure no problem it's an XML file called "AndroidManifest" and its located within a folder named after your "Bundle ID", in your Native Application Settings, as in Site>Mobile Applications>Application Settings.
All of the features are already entered, you just have to delete the ones you dont want and save the file.
Hope this helps.
