Dreamweaver cs5 page problem

Mar 26, 2013 10:49 AM

Hello,i have this problem.Have a page that called index.html.In html code also written <a href="index.html">HOME</a>
When put cursor on the link "HOME" in Dreamweaver,it's also says,that this page is index.html.
But when i check it with browser,link "HOME" is called main.html,and of course there's nothing inside it!Why is that?
Well,i remember renaming my index.html once to main.html,but then i again renamed it to index.html.There's nowhere written anymore nothing about main.html,the code says index.html,why does browser show main.html????

    Chances are you need to refresh your browser cache.

    IE - Hit F12 then Ctrl + R and Yes

    Firefox - Hit Ctrl + Shift + R

    If that doesn't clear it up, could you post a link to your page in the forum?

    Is it some kind og big bug?

    Not likely.  You probably have an old link to main.html somewhere in your code.  Use the Find tool to search your entire local site folder for source code containing main.html

    Spent about 8 minutes looking for Find tool

    On Windows, Ctrl+F = the Find/Replace tool.

    F1 = DW Help.
