Can I use Dreamweaver as an FTP for DNG, TIFF, RAW files

Mar 26, 2013 11:09 AM

I would like to transfer three original files to another photographer. I remember that browsers to not like RAW, TIFF or DNG files, so how can I transfer them, using Dreamweaver as an FTP tool to put them on my web site host so my friend can download them?

Transfer files to a folder inside your DW Local Site folder.   Manually upload that folder to your server from the Files Panel (F8):  Select folder and click the UP Arrow.

Send him an e-mail with absolute URLs to the various files.

    http://yourdomain.com/Folder/filename.tif

    http://yourdomain.com/Folder/filename.raw

Or Zip them all into a compressed folder.

If you Zip everything it will download.  If you don't, use browser right-click options to download file (SaveAs) to your hard drive.
