In CS6 when I try to import a group of jpegs (or Tiffs) as a sequence the Image Sequence box will not allow me to check it. Do the files have to be formatted in a specific way or size?
AND, are they 8-Bit Color Depth?
Most current digital cameras shoot at 16-Bit Color Depth, but Video is 8-Bit.
If they are Camera RAW, or are processed, make sure that you Photoshop Action sets the Color Mode to RGB (Ann's suggestion), and to 8-Bit Color Depth (my suggestion).
No luck so far. The images are RGB, sequentially numbered, 8 bit Jpegs (tried Tiffs too). When trying to import it will allow me to check the "Image Sequence" box (what was the numbered stills box in CS5) when there is just one image selected but removes it as an option when there are multiple images selected or Select All is applied - which is of course the whole point.
I am out of ideas at this point. Is it just a CS6 issue?
Don't select all... just select the first image of a numbered sequence
with "Image Sequence" checked, and hit OK.
Or, with "Image Sequence" checked,
simply double-click the first image of that numbered sequence.
Well I'll be... that's it!!! Obviously this is a change from CS5 because all of the tutorials say otherwise. Now you have to pull out just the numbered files that you want into a different folder. Weird. Thanks for the help. That was so frustrating.
