I'm on a mac CS6, The control option to resize a brush on the fly, is there a way to turn off the coordinates displayed, and the red ruby overlay?

You can turn off the coordinates display by going to Photoshop>Preferences>Interface and selecting Never under Show Transformation Values.

I don't think you can turn off the preview for the brush when using your shortcuts with the mouse, unless you turn off Use Graphics Processor, but then you lose a bunch of other stuff including 3D.

You can change the color though.
