PS Text Character Spacing

Mar 29, 2013 10:38 PM

Hey everyone, I'm not sure if it's just me but is photoshop supposed to have so much space between the characters in text? I've added a screen snippit of what I'm seeing on my computer with it's current settings. I'm not sure if I have something set wrong or not. This is a minor thing but it annoys the heck out of me knowing I don't have complete control over the spacing of characters.

Check all the parameters in your Character panel.  Photoshop remembers the last settings you used.

This gets me, from time to time. I work on a lot of DVD Menus (specialized PSD's), and quite a few have rather odd Character parameters, like All Caps, and some different Kerning. Then, I go to a regular Image, and have to do a bunch of resetting, as the parameters from those Menus "stick." I quickly learned Reset Tool.

Good luck, and it IS easy, when one knows where to look, and what to look for.
